Anti-Social Behaviour Officer (12-month temporary cover)

Scale SO1 £27,741 - £32,234

Stockport Homes is committed to tackling antisocial behaviour (ASB) on its estates and working to challenge unacceptable behaviour and bring about real changes, without having to take legal action wherever possible.

The exciting opportunity of an ASB Officer role within the ASB team has arisen to work with customers to ensure they feel supported to take positive action to address ASB in neighbourhoods and improve the overall quality of life for people on estates.

Enthusiastic and dedicated you should have the ability to:

Use a range of IT packages including ASB case management system and Microsoft packages

Apply all the legislative tools available to social housing providers to tackle ASB

Work within civil court procedures and legal processes and instructing solicitors and barrister

Think creatively and apply innovative approaches to resolving ASB

Carry out thorough and systematic investigations, including interviews

Communicate effectively and build effective relationships with a wide range of agencies and partners

Deal sensitively with complex problems and issues raised

In addition, the post holder should possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative
